Software Engineer

We have a new, full-time opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer with a knack for digital communications. In this role you will have an opportunity to be involved with new development and be able to influence enterprise level technology decisions. For this position, we are seeking individuals with a minimum of 5 years of Java development experience. This an excellent opportunity to work within a challenging environment, a place where you can contribute to existing systems and help lead the charge on new system decisions.
Responsibilities:
Provide significant new system functionality or defect resolution with minimal direction
Assist in tier 2 support for document generation applications
Combine multiple printing tools and their functions into one system, with the ability to work with these new tools from the ground up
Collaborate with partners to create an Enterprise E-signature solution
Create customized PDF and print forms to support GuideWire Claimtrack enhancements
Contribute recommendations to solve technical and business issues
Requirements:
2+ years of development experience with Java
Experience with SOAP and REST based web services
Experience with querying relational databases, SQL Server or DB2
Experience with Spring MVC, JSTL, CXF, or Hibernate is helpful
Experience with XSL and XSLT data file transformations is helpful
