JOB SUMMARY
This position is for a highly-motivated individual with experience in design, development and implementation of various software projects/applications. Ability to learn quickly and collaborate with other team members are required. Position is based in Chicago, IL at S&C’s world headquarters, within the Grid Reliability Solutions department.
The Grid Reliability Solutions team provides 24/7 performance monitoring for a variety of devices on power systems around the world. This position would support the Cloud platform for performance monitoring, as well as other software tools to support the team and grow the business. It is a small team of software engineers – you’ll be able to make an impact on design and have ownership of development. Responsibilities:
Support operation and maintenance of S&C Performance Monitoring Cloud platform
Design, develop, and implement software enhancements to S&C Performance Monitoring
Documentation of S&C Performance Monitoring platform, including O&M practices
Follow best development practices and able to work in an agile environment.
Work with other developers and technicians to define software specifications for new features.
Have a proactive approach to improve the application with every iteration.
Skills:
Working knowledge of Oracle Weblogic Server.
Proficiency with Java, Java EE, JavaScript, C++.
Familiarity with web development technologies, like APEX or other
Experience with SQL and Oracle Database.
Familiarity with Oracle BI Publisher
Agile development methodologies
