Job Description :
Works closely with Product Development, Product Management and the Customer Support teams to insure product quality and customer satisfaction.
Develops, revises and maintains test plans, test cases and automated test scripts that include resource requirements, schedule assumptions and scope based on pre-determined product requirements.
Interfaces with other internal QA organizations to develop comprehensive test plans and test coverage across Client’s broad product portfolio.
Develops and conducts performance and scalability testing.
Executes test plans, logs defects to an agreed upon severity rating and makes recommendations to address defects to product team.
Retests software corrections to ensure defects are resolved.
Drives continual process improvements in the evolution of testing procedures for future replication.
Works with customers and applies customer feedback to drive product improvement through the development process.

Responsibilities

Offers proposed changes/suggestions to processes and products, exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of an assignment.
Understands and adheres to cost/delivery/quality targets established during regression and testing phases.
Software development expertise from a coding perspective.
This is required for building test automation.
Contributes to test automation activities through knowledge of coding/programming in current languages.
Customer and field facing White Paper development based on QA engineering findings and analysis Fosters teamwork and collaboration across work groups and with other organizations.
Interacts cross functionally on matter that requires coordination across organization lines.
Sphere of influence likely to extend outside of the organization.
High level of proficiency in all necessary processes, applications, and tools.
Demonstrates knowledge of project management, able to identify business impact of proposed projects and designs.
Demonstrates skill with development of new theories and methods related to testing.
Collaborates well with other engineers and other engineering groups, and voluntarily shares information.
May be accountable for overall product and/or serve as a customer advocate.
May represent the organization as principal customer contact.
Significant contributor to organizational goals and objectives.
Authors and executes test cases and testing methodology for manual and/or automated tests.
Automates test procedures using scripts and API calls.
Full understanding of overall business and competitive environment, including mission and strategic direction of the organization.
Ability to lead people, projects, and operations
