Software Developer III
Contract Position
Washington, DC

Responsibilities:
Codes software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers. Standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and develops fixes. May require a bachelor''s degree in a related area and at least 5-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude required. Typically reports to a project leader or manager.

Help the team design and implement User Interface for an internal service with focus on ease and functionality. The interface will be complex app containing user role management, custom elements to display data in easy to understand format and connection to elasticsearch and AWS S3 for storing and searching millions of entries with filters. Even though the tool will be internal in the start it will be used by other teams at Comcast and eventually by external teams to manage their data and business logic.

Skills required:
UX design experience by taking in requirements and converting them into usable interfaces.
Should be able to own project and guide other developers
Able to work as a team
Experience with Agile development methodologies and practices
hands-on experience with RESTful web services
AWS services familiarity
Docker
Angular or similar frameworks, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Java, spring, LDAP, Java Web Container (Tomcat, Jetty, Netty)
Elasticsearch
DynamoDB
Git
experience with DevOps model
