Responsibilities:
Administration and maintenance of deployment tools
Coordinate the creation of software branches for parallel development and the use of labels to identify formal builds using Team Foundation Server, StarTeam.
Work with Project Management team to plan development of multiple projects in the source control tool and identify any risks or issues.
Perform software builds and deployments in to multiple environments.
Work with Project Management, QA, and Release Management to plan deployments of multiple projects to Production Environment and identify any risks or issues.
Repair and recover from software deployment failures.
Coordinate and communicate with impacted user base or teams.
Develop, Design, and maintain automation tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve Production deployments.
Support and enhance SCM processes and procedures needed to support the Software development teams.
Support frequent after-business hours deployment activities.
Required Technical Skills and Expertise:
Bachelor''s Degree is highly preferred
3- 6 years of applicable experience in the following areas:
o SQL Server Management Studio
o SQL Combine
o MS Build
o ANT
Impeccable attention to detail
Excellent PowerShell capabilities (to perform Root/Cause Analysis)
Automation and Engineering experience would be ideal
Must have general Windows Server Troubleshooting skills
Needs to have Intermediate Level skills in SQL (example – 1-3 years of experience)
SQL 2008R2, and 2012 is ideal
Need to be able to conduct queries
Must have Team Foundation Server (TFS) experience
Ability to effectively use defect tracking tools (ServiceNow, Jira, Client-ALM, or similar) to help with resolution of production related issues/problems.
Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), and other SCM methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall.
Desired Skills and Expertise:
Bit Bucket, Jenkins and Artifactory
Experience working with Star Team is a plus
Previous System Administration experience
