Overview
The Software Architect will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing software solutions to address complex business issues, and providing technical leadership. This person provides recommendations on proposed hardware and software purchase, ensures architectural design of software product is compatible with overall departmental standards and application designs, and leads development and implementation of standards. The ideal applicant will able to thrive in a highly collaborative workplace and actively engage in the development process. Responsibilities
Work with other IT professionals in the company in order to determine needs for new software, platforms and
applications
Utilize tools, technology and various methodologies to create functional and intuitive solutions for user interfaces of
desired products
Develop and implement product specifications
Pay attention to system integration, sustainability and feasibility
Manage all phases of technology development
Oversee and supervise the work of the development team
Guide and train developers and engineers
Suggest and implement solutions for process improvement
Adhere to all the requirements and guidelines for quality, security, extensibility etc.
Minimum Education
Bachelor Degree is required
Computer Science, MIS or related area is preferred
Minimum Experience
Four(4) years experience in an information technology related area and/or related experience preferred
Must be proficient in Java
Skilled in one of the following languages HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and/or Python
Demonstrate a proficient knowledge of software engineering principles and be capable of mentoring to junior level
employees in the practical application of these principles
Experience in API designing and implementation, Microservices Architecture and DevOps
Exposure to cloud computing, NoSQL Database implementations
