Sitecore Developer

San Jose, CA or Austin, TX

We are looking for a Contract Sitecore CMS/web developer with experience in
testing and maintaining large mission critical applications to join the
Digital Marketing team. This role will be based in our San Jos office but
we will also consider applications for our Austin office. Current term is
six months with potential to extend.

Job Purpose

We are building innovative websites to support the Arm business, its
engineers and partners. The role will be to develop sites and their
supporting services (such as Search, Analytics, SSO) on the Sitecore
Content Management System (CMS) platform.

Job Requirements

Responsible for the development of quality solutions which efficiently
meet customer needs.
Applying development techniques such as Test / Behaviour Driven
Development with continuous integration.
Manage stakeholder expectations appropriately and ensure that these
expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
Contribute to the development and evolution of the platforms processes
and documentation, as well as collaborating with internal teams to educate
and build awareness of our work.

Education & Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science
or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience in developing Sitecore XP8
Experience developing ASP.NET applications using C#
Strong skills in understanding .NET Framework platform
Experience with MS SQL Server
Experience with web technologies XML / XSLT, IIS, JavaScript
Extensive Microsoft web stack experience; Classic ASP, ASP.NET MVC,
Microsoft SQLServer, IIS
Ability to quickly implement features, diagnose problems and fix bugs in
large unfamiliar codebases
Experience in configuring, debugging and addressing issues in SQL
databases (T-SQL, MySQL)
Confidence in monitoring and maintaining an IIS web infrastructure for a
high traffic, mission-critical website
Knowledge of the development lifecycle with proven commercial experience
delivering projects on time and to specification
Team player, able to work with cross-functional teams (Creative,
Technical, Marketing & Project Management)
Excellent self-organisation, self-motivation and time management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including being
comfortable influencing others and working across regions.

Desirable Skills & Experience

Sitecore XP8 certification
Integration and configuration of Coveo (or similar) Search tools
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Bug tracking, source control, continuous integration tools
Unit testing, browser test automation (Selenium), load and performance
Web services experience, such as REST or SOAP
Experience in DevOps
Software Design Patterns
Inversion of Control/Dependency Injection
Distributed Message System Design/Development
