Job Details:
Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3) is seeking a Site Reliability/Performance Engineer for a long term contract at one of our top energy corporations. The ideal candidate would have a blend of development and operations experience with an innate drive to improve existing systems and processes. He/She will develop and execute the portfolio''s strategic plan for monitoring, performance, incident response, and capacity planning. This role requires extensive contact with development, QA, maintenance, and operational teams to create and execute the overall strategy of ensuring reliability.

Required Skills:
BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent technical experience
5+ years working with Linux or Unix environments
Experience with performance tuning of an application
Strong scripting skills, ie, Powershell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc.
Strong in one modern programming language (C++, Python, Java, C
Experience with revision control source code repositories (Git, SVN)
Experience in Agile Scrum teams (i.e. JIRA, Confluence)
Ability to diagnose technical problems, debug code, and automate routine tasks
Analytical approach coupled with solid communication skills and a sense of ownership
Desired Skills:
Hands on experience with monitoring tools like CA Wiley, Splunk, Dynatrace, DataDog, etc.
5+ years developing, implementing, and maintaining large scale applications
Prior SRE experience
