Position: Site Reliability DevOps Manager

Position Summary:
The Site Reliability DevOps Manager is responsible for the overall performance and reliability of in-house enterprise software assets/applications platforms and administrations. SREs design and implement the tech solutions to automate and build reliable & performant systems. This role reports directly to Bridgewater’s Operations VP and is crucial for defining, orchestrating and deploying Bridgewater’s corporate strategy. The ideal candidate will have a software engineering expertise with background in server administration and operations. This resource will be the right hand of Bridgewater’s Operations VP responsible for leading and supporting the larger team in day to day operations (L1, L2 Support
Responsibilities:
10+ to 15 years’ experience
Management Experience Required
Bachelor''s Degree Required
Managed Data and Support Center engineering teams
8+ years extensive network knowledge-firewalls, VPNs, DNS, proxies and load balancers
Expertise in Cloud Security best practices, firewalls, IPS/IDS, encryption and incident response
Experience with Azure PaaS and IaaS components and services?
8+ year’s experience with both Windows & Linux administration
Leveraging appropriate Project Management; Change Management; DevOps Guardrails and Governance to Support, Guide, Coach and Lead the broader team in maintaining applications and platforms (measuring and monitoring the availability, latency and the overall system health
Improve the sustainability of the applications/platforms through mechanisms like automation, and evolve applications and platforms by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services such as configuration management, deployment and monitoring, performance, automation, continuous Integration and version Control.
Keep abreast with industry trends and leverage expertise to influence the adoption of new technologies in the data management area
Improving existing support materials, run books and processes
Work with multiple teams, vendors and other teams to resolve issues
Perform root cause analysis, trend analysis and identify continuous improvement opportunities
Support application team and services before they go live.

Data Center knowledge

Experience in Root Cause Analysis and Evolution
Identify and automate routine tasks
Strong Management Experience
Strong understanding of fundamental data technologies such as data integration, business intelligence, data governance, data security etc.
Experience with server/platforms configuration, administration, monitoring, trending, scalability, high availability and disaster recovery.
Experience working with continuous integrations tools.
Knowledge of best practices related to security, performance, and disaster recovery.
Experience with Window servers in virtualized environments.
