JOB DESCRIPTION
As a SharePoint Migration Consultant, the applicant will be involved in both leading and executing SharePoint Migrations from WSS 3.0 to SharePoint Online.
Critical requirement for the consultant to have high speed internet access.
The responsibilities include the following
Engage with Site Owners and track Site Activity to determine whether a site needs to be migrated
Interacting with Site Owners and Site Users to keep them informed about their site migrations
Communication planning, housekeeping and validation activities during and after migrations
Execute migrations using Sharegate tool according to the Site Owners requested schedule
Resolve outstanding issues post migrations
Assist with external client invitations to SharePoint Online sites
Report on completed and in-progress migrations
MUST HAVE SKILLS
4+ years of SharePoint experience with SharePoint 2007, 2010, 2013, and SharePoint Online
Prior experience with SharePoint Migrations
SharePoint Designer Workflows – 2007, 2010, 2013
Strong experience with Sharegate Migration tool including the following
o Configuring migration jobs and executing
o Identifying migration related errors and remediating the issues
Strong written and oral communication skills
SharePoint Online (SharePoint On Office 365) experience including:
o Understanding of SharePoint architecture/topology
o Site Structures and Templates
o Security and Permissions
o Out of the box configurations and features
