Position: C++ Developer
Location – Houston, TX (Sugar Land) – Local candidates preferred
Duration – 6 – 12 months

Technical Skills:
o Must Haves
Proficient in software development in Linux environment (preferably Debian/Ubuntu)
GNU Compiler tool chain
Open-source/3rd-party library compilation
Cross compilation
Object Oriented Design and Programming using C++
Thorough understanding of network programming concepts
Basic TPC/IP networking: Setting IP address, understanding and setting up Sub Nets, DNS, DHCP etc
Sufficient knowledge of hardware interfaces and ability to safely troubleshoot common hardware peripherals. This includes:
Basic understanding of Serial Comms concepts (connector pinuot, polarities, voltage levels)
Familiar with reading hardware peripherals: Getting key info from data sheet and hardware manual, Setting control registers, etc
Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery
Familiar with software config mgmt. systems
o Nice to Haves
Industrial Acquisition Protocols (Modbus, OPC-UA, etc)
Unit testing framework (preferably Google Test)
Messaging protocols (MQTT, AMQP, etc)
Microservices and Docker containers
Software Config Mgmt: Git, VSTS
Soft Skills:
o Excellent written and verbal communication
o Team player
o Technical documentation
