Job Description :
Our Client is looking for a ServiceNow Developer to help integrate a new Security tool.

They are finalizing the vendor/product, but the tool will be a performance network discovery tool that will ship data back to ServiceNow as the data repository.

Qualifications:

Integration project experience

Rest API/web service proficiency

Experience with ServiceNow Security Operations Vulnerability Management module and/or Security Incident module
Some analyst/configuration management experience preferred


Project Overview and Project Specific Functions

The Vulnerability and Patch Management project will involve integration of a vulnerability detection tool with ServiceNow’s Vulnerability Management application. The individual filling our project position will:

Work with business analysts to understand the detection processes and handoff from the Vulnerability tool to ServiceNow

Consult with core ServiceNow team on designs and changes affecting the platform and other applications

Create or configure web services integration to generate VITM (Vulnerable Item) task type records within the ServiceNow platform

Design/develop/configure assignment logic driven by business process, available data, and ServiceNow capabilities

Assist the project team using web services to supply data to the ServiceNow platform to assist in device identification, as needed by the project

Assist the project team in using ServiceNow CMDB capabilities and use data provided by the Vulnerability Management tool to select/update CI records

Design and configure workflow, notifications, business rules, etc. within Vulnerability Management application, Security Incident application, and other applications

General ServiceNow Developer Responsibilities

Serve as administrator and developer for the CIO area's ITSM tool (ServiceNow)

Consult with business process owners and constituents to develop and analyze requirements

Collaborate with members of project teams to ensure successful, technically sound projects which are completed on time and on budget

Design and implement form scripts, business rules, workflows, and otherwise configure or modify applications to meet CIO area business requirements

Track, prioritize, and implement enhancement requests and defect corrections, while leveraging formal Change Management processes.

Collaborate with internal colleagues to design and implement data feedsinterfaces with other systems, including databases, monitoring tools, LDAP, etc.

Coordinate and perform application upgrades in partnership with vendors and internal colleagues

Provide application testing for applications

Create and maintain system design documentation

Develop, maintain, and execute reports to ensure system operation meets performance targets

Develop and maintain procedural documents relating to the management of the platform

Provide advanced application support to internal team members

Provide training and knowledge transfer to other employees as necessary

Assist in IT process implementation and support as necessary
