Position Description/Responsibilities:

A ServiceNow System Administrator will have overall responsibility for the system and its processes; responsible for access control, security, minor enhancements (such as form or workflow editing), script development, UAT/Regression testing of any development work completed by Technical Consultants. This role applies for internal instances as well as external client instances. System Administrators function as first level support for break/fix and enhancements on the ServiceNow instance. They will work closely with the Technical Consultants and clients.
Ability to develop high level and detailed schedules for ServiceNow implementation projects
Leads Sprint planning and daily scrum meetings in conjuntion with the client
Experience in the engaging in continuous improvement activities
Employs best practices for ServiceNow implementations and project management and advises customers of same
Experience in overall administration of the ServiceNow instance
Provides training to users
Responsible for access control, security, minor enhancements such as form or workflow editing, and UAT/Regression testing of any development efforts
Working with lists and forms to edit/update and review
Adding users, groups, and roles
Identify best practices related to task management
Configure notifications
Manage data with tables, the configuration management database (CMDB), and import sets
Run basic reports
Protect ServiceNow data
Create workflow activities and approvals
Implement Service Level Agreements
Identify various available script types
Clone instances, as well as create baseline performance metrics
Capture and move configurations and update sets between instances


Position Requirements/Technical Skills:


ServiceNow Admin (or higher) certifications desired (not required WITH equivalent experience)
Understanding of ITIL concepts and IT Service Management practices (ITIL v3 certification a plus)
Understanding of Agile based approach to software development (SCRUM experience a plus)
Working Knowledge of the SAIF Methodology
Ability to work remotely and largely unsupervised, and to capture written requirements
Effective communication skills via verbal and non-verbal methods
Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
Experience with recent ServiceNow versions – Jakarta (acceptable), Kingston (preferred)
Experience with ServiceNow update sets, required
