Description:
Security Systems Java Security team is seeking to add staff to an accomplished team of software engineers for cross team and brand development and support efforts on existing and new Java Security components. The specific opening deals with architecture, development, testing and support of the main cryptographic component (Java Cryptographic Extension These Java Security Components are related to security from existing technologies such as Cryptography, Kerberos, Secure Sockets and key and certificate management to new and evolving areas like Web Services Security. Position requires strong background in Java development, Math and cryptography along with debug skills; as this is not just Java development but building the IBM Java JVM for IBM product and customer use. Experience in Security areas like Cryptography, Secure Sockets, Kerberos, Key/Certificate usage and management are valuable pluses. Practical experience in developing complex software, excellent communication,teaming skills and familiarity with software development process, are also very beneficial.
Developers on this team tend to work independently and are subject matter experts for over 200 IBM products that are dependent on the cryptographic components.
Required Professional and Technical Expertise :
Experience with Java or C Programming.
Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics.
Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise :
At least 2 years experience in Java Development and Support.
At least 2 years experience in Object Oriented Design.
At least 2 years experience in Cryptography.
At least 2 years experience in Java Programming
