Role: Senior Workday Functional Analyst
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Duration:6months+ but can go till end of this year

Job Purpose
Configures and maintains Workday HRIS, including core HCM, Absence, Talent and Compensation. Evaluate Workday new system functionality, make recommendations for change to HR Partners, and lead implementation/Workday upgrade activities including configuration, testing, report writing, training and communication. Responsible for day-to-day system support with HR, employees, managers and vendors, troubleshooting and other projects or responsibilities as required.
Serves as technical point of contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing semi-complex system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. Acts as a liaison between users, management and vendors on HRIS systems issues and projects. This could include system design, system maintenance, system modifications, enhancements and fixes, along with operational or functional issues

Essential Duties
50% - Overall HRIS Administration / Maintenance of Workday (core HR, performance management, talent management and compensation This includes maintaining organization structures such as supervisory organizations, company and other tables, configuring the system as needed, monitoring security, testing, regular maintenance (some routine data entry and performing semi-complex audits for compliance and data quality related activities), reporting, training other team members and end users, documentation, troubleshooting and resolving system issues. Work with Named Support Contacts to log cases and partner with NSCs to test solutions. Work with Office Hours Consultants to enhance current Workday functionality. Partner with Senior HRIS Analyst on system updates (2x/year Test and troubleshoot all configurations and business processes. Assist with the preparation of training materials on new functionality. Actively participate in Workday Community, customer groups and networking events.
25% - Writes, maintains and supports a variety of semi-complex reports using Workday reporting tools, configuring calculated fields and complex reporting requirements. Develops and schedules standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Ensures ongoing delivery of automated reports by maintaining secured network drives. Maintains data integrity in systems by running queries, analyzing and correcting the data as needed.
10% - Responsible for regulatory and internal audits of HR systems and processes. Coordinates with internal and external partners to produce data for the Sarbanes Oxley and other related audits. Prepares and submits EEO reports annually. Participates in data privacy/security audits and conducts training to end users during new employee orientation.
10% - Monitors the HRIS Support Desk and ensures tickets are routed, customers are promptly responded to and issues resolved in a timely manner. Collaborates with team members outside of HRIS to ensure quick resolution of issues. Escalates complex, unusual problems and issues as appropriate. Ensures all support requests are logged and develops thorough customer service metrics through which the department is measured. Documents frequently asked questions and other helpful articles in the HRIS Knowledge Center.
5% - Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Position Requirements
Education/Certifications:
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent education and experience)
HRIP (Human resources Information Professional), PHR (Professional in Human Resources), or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) preferred.

Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in HRIS technology supporting HRIS platforms such as Workday, Oracle, SAP, UltiPro, Lawson, ADP, etc; Workday is preferred.
3 to 5 years of experience in HR administration
3 years of experience in business process analysis and project management (including design, configuration and testing)

Skills, Abilities, Competencies:
Demonstrates a good grasp of knowledge and principles for various Human Resources processes, specifically in the areas of compensation, data quality, employee relations, performance management, time & labor, payroll, and compliance.
Excellent skills in report development and layout (prefer Workday reporting experience, but experience with Cognos 10, Impromptu, ADP Report Writer or other similar report writing software is acceptable)
Strong attention to details and analytical skills with the ability to see a project through from beginning to end; deliver complete and accurate documentation to support the project; communicate project milestones and scope changes as they arise.
Strong computing skills in a PC environment (MS Project, Visio, Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to learn new software and technology.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks and timelines.
