Job Description :
As a Senior Tableau Developer, you will be leading the technical charter on reporting platform for self-service analytics and you will solve complex analytical problems at a massive scale. You will partner effectively with the data engineering team on common areas of scalability, data quality management, data delivery management and performance optimization. You will work closely with the business and technical teams in analysis on many non-standard and unique business problems and use creative-problem solving to deliver actionable output.
Ideal Candidate:
Develop level-of-detail calculations, user filters, dashboards, and an understanding of visual best practices
Expertise in UX design to communicate critical information and provide business insights to stakeholders
Experience in dashboard design best practices to communicate critical information
Hands-on expertise in Tableau, database, data warehouse, and Hadoop ecosystem.
Build prototypes for demonstration and illustration purposes for peer groups and business partners
Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) through troubleshooting and analysis of results.
Act as mentor and Tableau SME for other Tableau users
Requirements:
Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
8+ years of experience in BI Development - reports, metadata layer, dashboards, using SQL queries
5+ years of experience using Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop (10.x)
Experience in deriving actionable business insights through effective analysis of large amounts of data
Good understanding of RDBMS, Data warehouses, and Cloudera ecosystem (HDFS, Impala, Ingestion tools)
Ability to interact with a variety of technical and non-technical team members
Exposure to working in agile development and Continuous Integration.
Expertise in developing innovative dashboards/reporting in Tableau for the business users
