Required Skills:
A minimum of seven (7) years of solid hands-on Windows Network experience that includes specific technical experience with Active Directory, DNS, Windows 2012/201 systems administration support for large scale environments.
A minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in building both physical & virtual servers in multiple data centers and in the cloud, troubleshooting and tuning for performance along with exercising best practices for Windows Environments.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Windows Domains, DHCP
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in hardening windows servers and networks, setting up GPOs and other security components on Windows Servers.
A minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience working on Amazon Web Services including EC2, VPC, S3, IAM for building and managing virtual servers.

Preferred Skills:
A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in installing, managing and upgrading Windows server environments in large enterprise systems including security hardening using industry standards.
A minimum of six (6) years of experience in designing Windows networks for large enterprises including Servers, Domains, Active Directory, DNS, Security.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in various services and products available via Amazon Web Services including EC2, S3, IAM, ECS, Migration Hub.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in migrating traditional data center applications to cloud environments including migration of servers, databases etc.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience working with the PMO processes, policies and procedures.
Experience implementing and verifying DISA STIGs, FIPS 140-2 on Windows environments

Description: The Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (MHBE) created a website and call center operating under the name Maryland Health Connection (MHC Through MHC, Maryland residents explore health insurance plans, compare rates, and determine their eligibility for advanced premium tax credits (APTC), cost sharing reductions (CSR) and public assistance programs such as Medicaid and the Maryland Children’s Health Insurance Program (MCHP
MHBE seeks up to one (1) Senior Systems Architect to provide system and enterprise architectural services for the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (HBX) system.

Responsibilities:
Designs and configures Windows based network server software including Windows 2012/2016 OS Servers, Active Directory, DNS on Hyper-V data center as well as cloud environments.
Develops and implements plans for migrating Windows based solutions.
Develops technical reference models to include hardware and software standards.
Provides direction and supervision to the IT team members in implementing secure Windows Platform applications, evaluates security hardening on Windows Systems.
Evaluates Windows Servers and network configurations for robustness, security, performance and provide recommendations and remediations for issues
Designs and develops Windows OS level automation solutions using scripts
Performs and verifies Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, 6 and 7 server systems installation, configuration, optimization, security hardening and administration for servers running on Amazon Web Services Cloud Environment.
Designs and Implements Group Policy Objects (GPO), DISA STIGs, ePO and ACAS implementations and continuous monitoring
Provides guidance for implementing secure Windows solutions for SQL Server, Java applications on Windows platform.
Adhere to all security, change control and MHBE Project Management Office (PMO) policies, processes and methodologies.
Note: The candidate must have the flexibility to work overtime, as needed, to include weekends, holidays, and off-hours.
