Responsibilities:
Analyzes, enhances and supports business processes that may span multiple computing environments and multiple BUSINESS UNIT locations.
Develops an in-depth understanding of the business processes in their area(s) of assignment, and a general understanding of the BUSINESS UNIT business.
Takes initiative to identify and implement system and/or process improvements to support business objectives.
Uses a combination of leading edge information technologies along with existing legacy tools to deliver solutions to meet business needs.
Operates at an expert level in one or more areas of IT technologies and recommends and develops standards in these technologies. Acts as a mentor to teach others of these technologies.
Is viewed as a leader and change agent within both IT and customer community.
Interacts with systems and BU business process owners during the deployment of manufacturing or business application projects.
Effectively utilizes project methodology and tools to deliver solutions and communicate status.
Operates within and influences IS standards and conventions and promotes adherence within the IS organization
Pursues continuous learning consistent with changes in technology, and uses this to influence IS direction Job
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum 3 years of experience with software development life cycle methodologies
Basic technical experience in Java programming
Basic knowledge of SQL Programming (MS SQL-Server, SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL)
Minimum 2 years of technical experience in VAX COBOL Development

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics from an accredited institution.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment or experience with information systems projects related to quality, order management, supply chain management, shipping, human resources, business intelligence, finance, inventory, manufacturing operations, or complex integration.
Experience with Linux/Unix and COBOL programming
Experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases
Application experience with Microsoft SQL Server Applications, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Oracle or SAP ERP applications.
Strong communication skills, self-starter, strong learning orientation, collaborative personality .
