Project Scope Summary:
OMES is currently seeking up a Senior Server Technician/Engineer in Oklahoma City for a multi-year project with the Department of Human Services.The primary job function for this role is to design, implement, and maintain critical technology infrastructure for OK Benefits.

Required Job Qualifications:
High School or Technical School Diploma required.Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or MIS preferred
8 + years IT experience.
5 + years server administration experience in a large networked environment.
6 + years of administration experience in Microsoft or Unix Server Operating Systems.
Experience in supporting VMWARE Environment.
Expert Knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems, NTFS Permissions, Performance Analysis and Active Directory configuration/support.
Experience with Windows clusters and hardware load-balancing solutions (F5
Solid IIS experience, including support and security lock down of IIS protocols.
Experience in supporting and configuring Server hardware and SAN Disk.
Knowledge of all major storage protocols and network protocols
Knowledge of Deploying and Troubleshooting MS SQL and Oracle databases.
Experience with Red Hat Linux Operating Systems.
Solid understanding of IT networking
Knowledge of firewalls and firewall rules
Experience with container platforms
Excellent troubleshooting, root cause analysis and permanent problem resolution skills.
Ability to manage detailed tasks efficiently and effectively
Strong Documentation visual diagramming skills in Visio

Preference will be given to candidates who possess:
Experience working the following areas: Human Services, specifically Adult and Family Services, Child Support Services, and/or Child Welfare Services
Agile certification and/or experience
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or MIS preferred

Deliverables (define the products or work plan to be delivered):
This position will be expected to:
Design, implement, and maintain critical technology infrastructure including but not limited to: virtual servers, container platforms, enterprise storage, networks, backup and disaster recovery, active directory, and group policy
System, infrastructure, hardware, and application patching and maintenance
Monitoring, analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues with systems, infrastructure and applications
Implementation and maintenance of technologies, policies, and procedures to protect against malicious actors and cyber-security threats
Developing scripts utilizing PowerShell, command line, or similar technologies
Provide end user system, infrastructure, and application support
Creation of technical documentation
Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks
Coordinate training for Help Desk staff, operations and Desktop Technicians
Monitors and controls performance and health of the server resources
Utilize software and hardware tools, identifies and diagnoses problems and factors affecting server performance
Provide implementation planning, management, and support during production rollouts
Plan, design and recommend platform modifications or additions to increase system stability, capacity, and scalability
Develop & execute test plans, installation & support documentation, planning & managing initial deployments, and training, 3rd level support for server based products
