Our client in the Philadelphia area is looking for a SQL DBA to join their team. This is an on-going need with a very well-known organization, starting as a 6+ month contract with high likelihood of extension and eventual conversion possible. Position Description:
· Maintain SQL and Oracle databases
· Work with Postgres, Mongo, and AWS
Understand how databases work differently on AWS
o Perform some AWS administration
o Work with RDS (Relational Database Services)
· Work alongside other DBAs (1 who has a lot of Oracle experience) to keep the environment running
· Travel to Philadelphia office for first 2-3 weeks
Required Skills:
· Both SQL and Oracle DBA experience a must – majority of work is SQL and Postgres – Oracle is secondary
· Ideal experience somewhere around this:
· SQL 5 years
· Oracle 5 years
· Mongo 1 year (would like to have not a requirement)
· Postgres 2 years (would like to have not a requirement)
· Experience working closely with a software development team where software is the product (company they are working for must be providing a software)
· AWS cloud experience a must
· Postgres highly preferred (we can send anyone without it if they have a blend of some of the following: SQL, Oracle, Mongo)
