Requirement:: Senior SQL DBA
Essential Functions
Design, install, configure, support, and manage SQL servers and databases in clustered and standalone environments
Manage and test backup/recovery policies and procedures
Responsible for SQL Server database upgrades/patches
Proactively manage database support issues and effectively take corrective actions
Responsible for the scaling and availability of SQL Server databases
Develop stored procedures and scripting to automate databases tasks
Learn about new technologies and products
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
Qualifications
5-10 years of database administration experience with SQL Server, 2012+
Background education in computer science or engineering
Experience in large enterprise environment (hundreds of instances)
Expert in SQL Server performance tuning and query monitoring
Experience supporting SQL Server AlwaysOn (Availability Groups)
Smart, driven and problem-solver
Excellent written and verbal communication to assure seamless collaboration with teams around the world
Must have a core passion for SQL Server database administration
Desired Qualifications
BE or MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
Experience working in a structured ITSM environment (ITIL, ISO-20000, etc
