Job Description:

Expert understanding of Desktop Support and Services.
Expert understanding of Active Directory, user authentication and authorization and identify and access management.
Uses creativity and innovation to automate and streamline processes and procedures.
Ability to plan, design, and execute change in the user environment to improve efficiency and automate management and deployment of devices.
Ability to troubleshoot in a high-level systematic way. Ability to identify symptoms and research root cause. Understands process to test, and put changes in production.
Understanding of networking principles, including network troubleshooting for connectivity issues, DHCP, DNS, use of common tools and commands.
Ability and experience to work with SCCM version 2012. Ability to show others how to use the tools like SCCM.
Ability to script with PowerShell 3.0 or above. Scripting abilities should include validation, editing, input and output, including automation to production systems, specifically Active Directory.
Ability to learn new tools such as Varonis to clean up, and audit unstructured data (user data) and Active Directory and NTFS permissions. Nomad and Corporate Software Inspector to distribute and secure software within the DPS environment.
The ability to clearly document changes, workflow, diagrams, and prepare status and change reports as well as KB Articles.

Required Skills:

8 Years SCCM or SMS/MOM like experience
SCCM 2012 Experience Required (SCCM 2007 not sufficient)
Advanced understanding of Content Distribution and Management, Maintenance Windows, Queries, Application Deployment, Packaging Deployment, Operating Systems Deployment, LTI and ZTI Operating System Deployment, Microsoft Software Updates, and 3rd-Party Integrations.
Full knowledge of the Operating System Deployment process from design to deployment
and the support tools and technology involved (SCCM, MDT, WDS, PXE, Bootable Media, Task
Sequences, MSI and MST files, etc
STRONG SCCM, OS, AD and Application troubleshooting abilities.
Experience with top level support (no escalation beyond
STRONG experience in the following tools: MDT, APP-V, InstallShield, Software Repackagers,
MSI Tables
Ability to fully script repeatable tasks, Operating System Deployment, Application Installs
and configuration changes.
Experience in Windows XP/7/8/10 from an Administrator perspective (not desktop support
5 Years PowerShell scripting experience in a production environment
STRONG shell experience in windows (command shell, vbscript, PowerShell
Understanding of WMI/CIM.
Experience with Active Directory User and Computer accounts, Security Groups, and group
policy objects.
Ability to work on multiple assignments concurrently.
Experience working in a highly distributed environment.
Minimum 4-year (Bachelors) degree in computer science or related IT field. With equivalent
work experiences showing that, the candidate has designed systems and migrations to
success.
The ability to train and mentor staff on design changes and the ability to explain changes
and needs to business units.

Desired Skills:

5 Years planning, designing and implementing change in a distributed corporate
environment.
10 Years Troubleshooting experience
10 years knowledge of networking technologies to include PING, NETSTAT, DHCP, OSPF, DNS,
and NSLOOKUP.
12 total years I.T experience.
Master’s degree in Information Technology
8 years’ experience with Active Directory.
Contributes to continuous process improvements to increase the efficiency of section.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
PowerShell 3.0 scripting background.
Certifications in Microsoft tools and technologies
Certification/classes in SCCM
ITIL Knowledge and ITSM Tools
Knowledge of Flexera Corporate Software Inspector
Knowledge of 1E Nomad Software Distribution.
