Role: Senior SAP Basis Architect (Contract)
Location: Greensboro, NC
Responsibilities:
SAP Basis administration and technical core tasks including SAP software installation, upgrade, applying
Support Packages, patches, and fixes, installation of add-on software components, SAP profile
parameter changes, workload analysis, system error analysis and establishing standard Basis
background jobs and system health checks and monitoring on different Netweaver versions
7.0x,7.31,7.4,7.5 with Oracle11g/12c on Unix Platform.
Strong Solution Manager experience, that includes configuring root cause analysis, Business process
monitoring, E2E monitoring setup, incident management, Alert monitoring, SMD Agents, Managed
system setup etc.
Strong JAVA stack administration is required, BI, BO, BODS systems Administration with good database
knowledge.
Provide operations support for SAP systems and technical infrastructure, including but not limited to
transport administration, printer administration and user support.
Define and document technical system requirements and systems management procedures. Involve
with problem escalation and resolution, working with SAP and other software/hardware vendors to
resolve problems.
Able to do printer/spool configuration and administration, RFC destinations creation, should be able to
monitor and manage the servers, background jobs, performance measurement & fine tuning.
Good knowledge of ITIL processes – Incident, Change, Problem and Known Error DB management skills
and align with customer.
Assess impact of new SAP releases to current system landscape environments, design solution and assist
production support teams in deploying the solution. Analyze system performance, system health
checks.
Maintain environments through environment copies, system refreshes (TDMS working experience is a
plus), and transport management.
Coordination and support the technical implementation of interfaces with the business users,
Application Service Provider, third-party/External vendors
Work with SAP and Customer to investigate and resolve software problems related to the application in
a timely manner. Research, recommend, and apply new technologies.
