Role: Senior Quality Assurance
Location: North Houston, TX (Greenspoint area of Houston)
Duration: 6+ Months
Interview: Phone and In-person (In-person is a must)
Visa: Only USC or GC
REQUIRED:
- 5+years'' experience in software development as a programmer or tester
- Extensive understanding of data analysis techniques
- Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing systems, and relational/non-relational databases
- Experience writing complex SQL and NoSQL for use in data validation
- Demonstrated experience in the development of test automation above and beyond record-playback tools
- Demonstrated ability to write code in a modern programming language
- Experience working in multi-tiered Dev/Test/Prod environments
- Demonstrated experience in the development of QA process and procedures
- Ability to successfully perform the QA role across multiple, complex system implementations with custom and third-party applications
- Experience with test management and defect tracking systems such as TFS
- Experience with cloud architecture, Amazon Web Services (AWS), server-less architecture, ETL, Elastic Search, PostgreSQL
- Certification in testing tools or testing skills
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with complex projects
- Demonstrated manual testing and programming skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, manages priorities, and mentor/direct others Demonstrated ability to manage and complete QA activities with minimal supervisory assistance
Responsibilities:
- Understanding of data analysis techniques, business Intelligence/Data Warehousing systems, and relational/non-relational databases and experience writing complex SQL and NoSQL for use in data validation.
- Prior BI, Analytics consulting experience is required.
- Experience working with TIBCO products like Streambase, Spotfire, Microstrategy and Oracle is a plus
- Review and maintenance of regression test scenarios and test cases.
- Works with functional and technical teams to maintain content expertise and align on quality improvement opportunities.
- Participates in software design discussions and reviews.
- Creates test data and maintains regression test suites (manual & automated
- Partners with functional and technical partners in their domain
- Creates or reviews test scenarios and test cases that are in alignment with functional requirements.
- Ensures appropriate test data is defined and available in the test environment
- Executes and statuses test cases, including proof of testing.
- Clearly documents defects, and retests fixes in a timely manner
- Self-Motivated and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
