Position: Senior Product Designer (PCB Layout)

Relevant Work Experience Requirements: 15 years of PCB design experience. Prefer experience with CADENCE Allegro as a layout tools and Orcad as schematic tool
Core Working Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to work on printed circuit board layout designs within our Electronic Hardware Engineering team. You will be supporting the product development team with PCB designs for new as well as existing products. Such designs include the design of mixed signal boards to accommodate high-speed digital circuits with analog and power electronic circuitry. Also, you will be working closely with the Quality and Operations teams on manufacturing related issues that may impact the reliability of our products.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Produce drawings, layouts, and/or diagrams from sketches, existing drawings, electronic images, design concepts and/or verbal instructions
Work with Engineers to capture and produce a design that includes all product requirements for either new or existing products
Use computer assisted design/drafting equipment and software to develop designs
Establish design standards, procedures and techniques to produce high reliability products (such as Design for Manufacturability and Design for Testability)
Ensure all necessary documentation is complete such as engineering prints, bills of materials, and related product specifications and generate CAD data to allow successful transfer to manufacturing
Perform schematic capture duties such as maintenance of parts libraries and updating schematics or drawings in an organized and timely manner
Work directly with different business functions and team members to meet serviceability, functional and manufacturability requirements
Coordinate procurement of prototype material as well as oversee the build and verification of design
May work on cost reduction design projects, as well as text fixtures that may be needed for installed based products or new product development.
Lead and participate in engineering and general design reviews as required
Provide technical guidance, training and coaching to less experienced Designers
Check design work of other engineering department members including layout, form, fit, function, materials, specification callouts, dimensioning, and other outputs as requested
Act as a primary liaison with our PCB manufacturing suppliers and contract manufacturing suppliers
To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:
Associate''s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related technical degree from an accredited program.
Detailed knowledge of Schematic entry and PCB layout for RF, Analog and High Speed Digital circuits. Prefer experience with CADENCE Allegro as a layout tools and Orcad as schematic tool.
Demonstrated ability to independently draw conclusions from technical information.
Knowledgeable on relevant industry standards and guidelines.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Minimum of 15 years of experience working with cross functional teams.
Experience leading design reviews.
Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance, training and coaching to team members.
Ability to interact with suppliers and customers on engineering design issues.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills for presenting, discussing, and documenting technical information.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently toward timely completion of a desired goal.
