Our direct client is looking for Senior Portofolio Project Manager for a Long Term Contract in Harrisburg, PA.
Role Description:
- This position includes administrative, management and professional work for directing the implementation and management of high-priority, high-profile Commonwealth enterprise-wide information technology projects and for business relationship management for the Client Compute Services contract.
- This position is responsible for managing Client sponsored projects of strategic importance.
- Such projects require coordination with multiple organizations involving stakeholders from Client, Commonwealth Delivery Centers, agencies, and the business partner/vendor community.
- The position reports to the Director, Administrative and Program Services, but will interface regularly with the other commonwealth positions such as, but not limited to, Delivery Center and agency CIOs, CTOs, IT managers, project and portfolio managers, IT Governance and affiliated sub-committees as required.
Responsibilities:
- The Senior Portofolio Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple complex ETSO projects simultaneously and for reporting the status of assigned projects to the Director of Administrative and Program Services, the Chief Technology Officer and ETSO Executive Team escalating issues/risks as appropriate.
- The Senior Portofolio Project Manager has full accountability for the projects he/she manages.
- The Senior Portofolio Project Manager will support the Senior Project Manager with Portfolio Management of the Enterprise Technology Services Office (ETSO) project portfolio and will work with the CTO and ETSO Executive Team to help identify demand, prioritize demand and track the health of the ETSO portfolio.
- The Senior Portofolio Project Manager will work with the other ETSO managers, staff, and designated project managers or technical leads to promote the use of project management best practices and ensure all projects in the portfolio are managed following those practices.
SKILL MATRIX:
- 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study with advanced study - Required
- Project Management Certifications – Required
- Experience in leading IT projects or an equivalent combination of experience and training that includes six years of experience in leading IT projects – Required
- Technical Commonwealth of Pennsylvania experience and ITIL Foundations certification -Highly Recommended - Highly desired
- Experience managing Portoflio of Projects - Required
- Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously - Required
- Experience working with Executives - Required
