Role: Senior Performance Tester

Location: Sterling, VA


We are looking for a senior Performance Test Engineer who loves to write/test code and has a
passion for working on highly performing distributed applications that process billions of
transactions per day.
You will be responsible for testing software running on NoSQL and distributed environments,
1. Automating test cases using Load runner, and performance testing
2. Carry out testing as per the defined procedures.
3. Participate in walkthroughs of testing procedures.
4. Prepare all reports related to software testing carried out.
5. Ensure that all tested related work is carried out as per the defined standards and
procedures.
A successful candidate will be a hands-on tester with an established background in large scale
service oriented applications running on hundreds of servers in multiple data centers. You should
have strong technical ability, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a
fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:
Performance testing experience using Load Runner or JMeter
Preparing test plans, Test cases, Test matrix for functional, system, load and stress
testing.
Expertise in black box, white box/glass box testing methodologies.
Make the QA team aware of the Quality matrix and resolve all the queries.
Create a list of milestones and checkpoints and set measureable criteria’s to check the
quality on timely basis.
Webservices testing experienced
Knowledge on Java based Automation Framework development
Familiar with Rally, HP tools
Hands on Automation Testing experience
Knowledge on SQL queries, NoSQL Database
Performance testing experience using HP tool or JMeter
Experience on GoCD pipeline process
Familiarize with GitHub, SVN etc
Functional and Webservices testing experienced
Experience in Slackbot integration.
Scripting language (e.g shell, perl, ruby.

Technologies:

HP Performance Tools,Loadrunner, JMeter
Parasoft SOA
Java – TestNG Framework
Unix, NoSQL, SQL Queries
Git
Java development will be added advantage


Requirements:
Strong Performance testing skills, using Load Runner
Experience in performance tuning and testing
Strong experience developing Automation test scripts using Parasoft SOA and Rest
Assured.
Working knowledge of messaging technologies such as JSON and REST
Familiar with Rally, HP tools
Good Linux skills, preferably with RedHat/CentOS
Experience with SQL Queries and Unix

Additional Desired Experience:
Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and MySQL
Experience in SOAP and REST based Webservices testing
Unix, NoSQL DB
Able to write Java based rest assured test scripts for testing.
Knowledge of Load Runner, Core Java, Spring MVC and Spring Boot Framework are highly
desirable.
