Senior Performance Test Engineer
Location; Richmond, Mason, Noforlk, VA
Duration: 12 Months
Rate: $50/hr
Responsible for complex projects aimed at monitoring software quality and associated business/technical risks across the software development lifecycle.
Design, develop and execute complex automated software test plans, test scripts, test scenarios, and analyze performance tests.
Work with software engineers, business analysts, database administrators, network engineers, and support teams to identify risks and develop, maintain and execute automated performance testing procedures and related software.
Perform automated load/performance testing across multiple messaging protocols (including HTTP), focusing on overall application performance, leveraging knowledge of computer science and software development principles and utilizing Load Runner, LoadUI, SOAP UI, SQL, and Oracle.
Create test cases, scripts and performance test execution and develop stubbed out interfaces to support performance test execution.
Serve as knowledge source for the escalation of complex automated testing procedures and related software issues and participate as an expert in software redesign process assessing software development projects for performance optimization factors affecting functional requirements and design specifications.
Provide input to systems and applications developers on testing procedures and requirements, schedules, or potential problems.
Present complex IT concepts and project metrics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
