Job Description :
Job Title: Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Location: Columbia, MD (preferred, but Tyson''s office is also an option)

Must be US Citizen or GC Holder who can work on our W2.

Duration : 6+ months

Must have been in US for more than 3 years.

Qualifications :

Bachelor''s / Master''s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or
related field.
6+ years of enterprise software development experience
Good understanding of RDBMS data models and/or experience in
application design.
Strong Oracle database, SQL and PL/SQL skills to create, modify,
debug, test, and document PL/SQL, tables, packages, procedures, functions
and database triggers.

Job Description:

Work both independently and as part of an Agile (SCRUM)
development team
Analyze User Requirements and translate into database requirements
Design and develop complex PL/SQL objects, reports and programs
In-Depth knowledge of advanced PL/SQL features such as Bulk
binding, complex functions :analytical, pipelined, hierarchical.
Design and develop reports against Oracle databases
Develop and maintain an enterprise data model of all production
database applications

Analyzing performance issues and providing recommendation based on
testing results

Proactively diagnosing and resolving problems affecting database
Maintaining database configurations in compliance with release
management and change management policies
Participate in special projects and performs additional duties as
required

Required Skills:

Excellent understanding of RDBMS Concepts
Highly proficient with Oracle PL/SQL complex coding
Expertise in Performance Tuning
Experience with Oracle specific tools and utilities such as TOAD,
PLSQL Developer
Experience in Data Modelling and Data Migration.
Hands-on experience with Technical Design & Development of
Database modules and components such as database packages and procedures
etc.
Hands-on experience with Coding, Code Reviews & Unit Testing .
Reviewing and tuning SQL and PL/SQL code . Deliverable to be error free
while meeting requirements
Works on periodic maintenance releases of applications, including
enhancements and defects
Innovative approach with focus on continuous improvement
Must have a good understanding of SDLC Processes

Desired Skills:

Experience working in a Healthcare environment
Previous experience with technical documentation (e.g. Technical
design documents, release documentation etc
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills necessary.
Ability to effectively share technical information, contribute
towards design and development
Self-starter and motivated with ability to work in a fast paced
Rapid Application Development environment.
Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
Proven problem solving skills from problem assessment to solution
selection and implementation.
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking
Oracle database administration experience.
Capacity to embrace changes, adapt to new technologies
Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments simultaneously
