Senior Oracle DBA

On behalf of our client Procom Services is looking for a Senior (10+ years) Oracle DBA for one of our clients in Durham, NC
This is expected to be a 12 month plus project.
Senior Oracle DBA Requirement Details:
Oracle Database Administrator to implement and administer databases within a multi-tiered environment. The DBA will play a critical role in design, build, implementation, upgrade and optimization of Oracle databases in an AIX environment. The Database Administrator will support Oracle. While the primary technology supported is Oracle, MSSQL Server knowledge/experience is also desirable. Most of the Oracle DBAs support MSSQL as well
* Monitor/maintain/upgrade the Oracle database and assist the application team with performance tuning initiatives , and builds from the application vendor
* Interface with business analysts and application developers to create and maintain physical data models based on the logical design
* Monitor and tune databases to ensure peak performance
* Design/implement backup and recovery solutions
* Provide assistance to associates to resolve technical issues, document and implement best practices for the database environments
* Establish standards, controls and procedures to ensure data integrity and security
* Perform capacity planning and projection for future growths
* Provide on-call support on a rotation basis
* Helping with Data Modeling, Physical & Logical Data Model Diagrams
* Implement new database instances, create indexes, performance Tune Queries.
* Install & setup Oracle 10g and above
* Database backups, transfers
* Database Upgrade, Migrations
* Space allocations & support during Siebel upgrade
* Modify/Rewrite Oracle triggers and links wherever needed
* Assistance in conversion from DB2
* DBA Support for post-conversion
* DB performance monitoring & analysis
Mandatory Skills:
(10+ years) Oracle DBAs with the following:
- 10g - 11g upgrade project experience (must-have)
- Oracle DBA on AIX experience (must-have, 2-3 year min)
- OEM, Toad, Foglight experience (nice-to-have)
Nice to have skills:
- SQL Server experience (nice-to-have)
- Siebel upgrade project experience (nice-to-have)
