Job Description :
Purpose
Administer, maintain, develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the availability, performance, and integrity of the organizational database
Assist data modeling to design and implement data structures which meet the business requirements for timely, accurate data
Promote data quality and enforce data integrity
Resolve database performance issues, capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues
Qualifications
Must have RDB DBA experience.
Must have Open VMS experience
ODBC, SQL/Services, RMU Show Statistics, RMU Backup/Restore, RDB databse reorganization, hashed indexes, sorted ranked indexes, after-image journaling & recovery, RDB upgrades
In-depth understanding of OpenVMS & Oracle RDB performance tuning concepts, proficiency with OpenVMS DCL and CA Job Scheduler.
Troubleshooting and analysis experience
