Senior Network Engineer

Englewood Cliffs, NJ

12 months contract



Technical/Functional Skills -MUST HAVE SKILLS

Experience in LAN, WLAN, WAN, Internet Services administration.
Strong Hands on experience in Switching, Routing & Load balancer
Good knowledge in troubleshooting the network related issues.
Good knowledge on Firewall/VPN technologies.
Strong Knowledge on Network Tools & support
Basic undemanding of ITIL process
Sound Knowledge in network and security Products will be gain advantage
Certification - CCIE Preferred, CCNP mandatory
Network related audit activities
Experience in Data center and network room related activities.
Strong background in process creation and improvement planning; design, test and implement disaster recovery; capacity optimization

· Provides root-cause analysis, contributes to the knowledge base, and provides recommendations for continuous improvements to workflow, process, and technology



Roles & Responsibilities:

Installation, Upgrade and Configuration of Network Devices
Installation and Management of Structured Cabling and Patch Cables
Image Management – provisioning via approved OS/application versions and configuration standards
Configuration Version Control Management
Ensure devices comply with AMD security standards and policies as to hardening, security, patches and policy enforcement
Capacity Management
License Compliance Management
Network Port Configuration (such as port speed, duplex, description, VLAN, port trunking, port aggregation, etc)
Monitoring and Troubleshooting
Quality of Service Configuration
Performance Tuning
LAN Router Management
LAN Access Switch Management
WLAN Device Management
Client VPN Management
WLAN / VPN User Group Management
WAN Device Management
Network Accelerator Management
Network Local and Global Traffic Manager Device Management
Network Application Proxy Device Management
Content Delivery Network Management
Device Migration
Documentation of Processes, Procedures, Build-Books, and “As-Built” Diagrams
Patch Management – OS, application and device firmware
Backup / Restore Management
Change / Release Management
Inventory Management
Hardware Maintenance
