Job Summary:
The Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy provides customer data-driven marketing (CDM) program leadership for the client’s post-purchase experience. This role is responsible for day-to-day strategy development and stewardship for post-purchase CDM programs across the full life-cycle from conception and proposal through creative briefing, production and insights reporting.

The ideal candidate should have experience developing CRM programs rooted in consumer behavior and 1st party data insights. They should be comfortable navigating ambiguity and providing clarity and focus for cross-functional teams. They should be detail oriented with an ability to maintain a view of the big picture. In addition to owned CRM channels, the ideal candidate should be comfortable working within a paid media environment in collaboration with media specialists to develop addressable audience programs across social, search, and programmatic OLA/OLV.

Primary Responsibilities:

CDM Post-Purchase Strategy: Own the development of overarching Post-Purchase CDM strategy that defines goals, objectives and opportunities for individual post purchase programs
CDM Program Development: Lead a cross-functional team of audience, data, insights and creative specialists in the collaborative development of individual programs and campaigns
Thought Leadership: Identify and steward adoption of process and practice improvements both internally and among client stakeholders
Creative Briefing and Strategic Stewardship: Develop insightful creative briefs to provide focus and direction to developing creative program assets (email channel)
Account Growth: Identify and steward growth opportunities through incremental program proposals and proactive strategy recommendations to client stakeholders
Reporting Insights: Partner with Data Science/analytics to elevate observations into actionable recommendations built on insight
Client Business Immersion: Develop a deep understanding of the clients’ category and unique business dynamics within the category
Consumer Behavior: Develop a deep understanding of both observable consumer behavior within the 1st party audience database and consumer behavior of unknown audience targets

Desired Experience
7-9 years developing marketing strategies at an agency, consultancy or within a marketing department
Specific expertise in developing email channel marketing programs
Familiarity with the Telco and consumer electronics industries
Initiated, managed and led the formation of deliverables such as: Personas, customer journeys, communication architectures, interactive/connection/touch-point plans, campaign plans, program strategies, etc.
Insight development from primary and secondary research, plus online communities, ethnography, traditional and web-based focus groups, social media monitoring, digital audits and digital behavioral data, and online/offline media measurement tools.
Participation in the RFP and pitch process
Development and moderation of workshops with senior clients
