Senior Level Network Engineer

What are the three to five technical responsibilities of the position? 10+ years of experience - need to have someone who is well versed in networking, how it works, how to troubleshoot, etc The engineer should be versed in Cisco/Arista/Dell switch operating systems. Team member will be brought in to assist with the day to day management of the network, provide customer support, perform day to day operations within the lab, examples of day to day operations are: configuring switches, VLANs, uplinking L2 devices to L3, and troubleshoot network isses, etc. SKILLS • Knowledge with appropriate networks, products and protocols • Troubleshooting skills • Interpersonal skills • Problem solving skills • Ability to work in a team environment • Communication skills Education Required: Bachelors (Technical) Experience Required: 2+ years relevant experience Physical Requirements: No

standard 40 hour work week. Team Structure: Member will be an addition to the 7 current members of the team, all team members are senior level or above network engineers

GENERAL SUMMARY • Provides support for all customers as it relates to network design, network operations, network convergence and network security. Manages the planning, development, installation and operations of network systems by evaluating current and future business requirements. Develops, maintains, communicates and executes project plans and schedules, prioritizes requirements, and coordinates teams. Ensures products are compatible with existing and future environmental integration. Identifies, evaluates and resolves financial and business issues. Works on abstract problems across all functional areas within the networking environment.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Provides support, investigating, analyzing, and resolving problems on network components • Makes recommendations on the development of new internal programs or modifications of current systems • Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions • Forecasts, models, and utilizes advanced analytical tools • Creates new procedures and processes to drive desired results • Identifies opportunities for process and procedure enhancements to drive efficiency and customer service levels • Makes recommendations on development of innovative and cost-effective solutions to problems of customers
