Job Description:• The Optimization Systems team for Network Planning is requiring web services and javascript knowledge for frontend development, java expertise for backend development, an interest in mathematics to solve hard problems to find optimal solutions with limited resources, high-standards for designing, coding and testing software, and knowledge in Oracle DB, some UNIX scripting on Red Hat Linux, Spring framework, and report generation. Familiarity with Sencha, HTML5, javascript, cloud and C++ is a plus. Education/Experience:• Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent training requiredResponsibility level• Exercises independent judgment with direction from supervisorMajor Job Duties and Responsibilities:• Design and build components for the new application• Identify problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback and correct them• Evaluate code to ensure it is valid, and meets team standards and user requirements• Confer with management or development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria or choose solutions• Develop or validate test routines to ensure that they mimic external interfacesList of Required Skills• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, and interpersonal skills• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time• Ability to work well with other team members• Knowledge of design techniques and best practices in software development• Java• UNIX/Linux • Spring framework• SQL• Web Services• Development tools: Eclipse, JUnit, Ant, Maven, Hudson/Jenkins• Agile Methodologies
