Bachelor''s degree (MS preferred) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline and 4-6 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience related to the duties of the position.
Extensive expertise developing highly scalable, consumer facing web sites, including ability to understand and develop for security and scalability requirements unique to public web sites (rather than Enterprise/Intranet sites
Extensive expertise with Java/J2EE development, database engineering, 3rd party software integration, and multi-tier applications architecture.
Extensive hands on expertise with Java frameworks including Struts 2, Spring, Hibernate, and Web services.
Extensive expertise with Java, JSP, JBoss, source code management (Subversion), and build/deployment process/tools (Ant);
Experienced with SQL and relational databases (preferably MySQL);
Experienced in developing within an Agile/SCRUM methodology.
