The successful Java Developer applicants will be responsible assist clients with the development of the Vital Records Modernization Implementation Project. In addition, the chosen candidates will have the ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Job Description:
The Senior Consultant is expected to play a significant role in client engagements, along with maintaining additional internal (non-client) responsibilities.
Responsibilities include:
Managing mission critical, large-scale J2EE w applications
Object design, model-view-controller {MVC) design, common core Java design patterns, and designing relational database schemas for web-based applications.
Developing and maintaining Java J2EE systems and comer frameworks including Java Spring, Hibernate/JDO, and AngularJS.
Investigating process, projects or program/service related issues to identify root cause of issues, and propose corrective actions
Providing input and participate in meetings with Stakeholders and Status Review Meetings.

Bachelor’s Degree required, focus in Computational Programming or Computer Science preferred
Over 10+ years of Java Programming experience using open source tools supporting mission critical enterprise applications and thorough knowledge and understanding current Java 7/8 Programming techniques, patterns and technologies
Experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution design and Web Application Design using Design Patterns, J2EE patterns, OOAD concepts and frameworks like Java Struts, Hibernate, Spring and mastery of object design using model view controller and common Java Design patterns
Experience with relational database management systems like Postgres SQL and MS SQL Server and strong practical knowledge of web server technologies like JBOSS, Apache and Tomcat.
Exposure to CMS/IDE tools like TFS, SVN, CVS, Eclipse and Continuous Integration with JIRA, Jenkins and Maven
Demonstrated experience working in a professional environment in State Government IT development, maintenance and implementation preferred but other government Health and Human Service project experience helpful
Knowledge and practical experience using open source Java frameworks like Struts, Hibernate and Spring
Certifications or Licenses in Java SE. 7 or Java SE 8, or Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCP-J2SE) a plus
Excellent written and oral presentation and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and SharePoint
Willingness to travel as applicable
Authorized to work in the U.S.
