Senior Java Developer
Location: Burlington, MA
Duration: 12+ Months
Only GC or Citizens
telephonic followed by Skype.
Please note – this is a senior java developer with ESB experience (NOT an ESB developer with limited java experience
- Any type of ESB integration experience (Mule, Fuse, etc – please note that people with Camel/Karaf experience are best BUT THEY JUST NEED ANY TYPE OF ESB (does not have to be Camel/Karaf)
- EXCELLENT Communication skills, the position will require direct interaction with Healthedge’s customers over the phone
- Healthcare experience is STRONGLY PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
1 Minimum of 7 years of experience with Java/J2EE development.
2 Object oriented design (OOD) - they should have used it to solve java design problems.
3 Must have strong experience with ESB technologies
4 Must have worked on projects where they interacted directly with the client. Ideally in a professional services or Saas organization.
Our clients professional services team is looking for seasoned Java Developers to work on client-specific development projects related to interfaces, data migration, conversion, data reporting, and analysis. The development projects are critical, high value initiatives that are frequently part of a larger enterprise IT strategy at healthcare payors.

Responsibilities:
Work with development team on complex implementations of our enterprise software platform.
Participate sprint sessions within Agile methodology.
Analyze customer data and provide technical expertise to help leadership plan implementations or integrations.
Design, develop, code, test and debug complex integration solutions for our software and client environments.
Design and develop tools required for data manipulation or integration.
Manage time effectively, communicate status accurately to scrum masters and project managers.
Performing all job functions consistent with Our clients policies and procedures, including those which govern handling PHI and PII.
Development experience on the Linux operating system.
Experience with complex data analysis, data migrations, and system integration, strong object oriented programming skills.
Hands-on development experience using Java/J2EE, XML, SOAP, Web Services (SOAP, WSDL, etc, Middleware, Design Patterns, JUnit, Eclipse IDE and SQL.
Experience working with integration middleware or enterprise system bus technologies (ESB) like iWay or Apache Camel.
Good consulting and communication skills, previous experience with in customer-facing roles on professional services projects.
Demonstrated ability to work independently or within a team environment.
Experience with source control software such as Perforce, SVN, Git, etc.
Experience in the health insurance industry is preferred.
Experience with Agile development methodology such as SCRUM or Kanban.
Pluses: They use karaf and camel as their framework. Healthcare payer experience like BCBS, Aetna, UHG due to the payment to claim exp. It would be a plus if these candidates have knowledge of these tools: junit, mavan, eclipse, and perforce.
