Job description
The Senior Director – Product Line Manager – Commercial Products will lead the strategy and key growth initiatives for Netspend’s commercial product line, which includes payroll cards, incentive and disbursement cards, virtual disbursements, small business and expense management products, and tipping solutions. Netspend partners with businesses – from micro-merchants to global enterprises – to offer payments solutions with a focus on making payroll and disbursements simpler and faster.
This is a key leadership role that requires a strongly collaborative individual. You will be working closely with Netspend’s senior leadership team to drive and monitor the performance of this critical product line. Experience in commercial banking or credit and a history of P&L ownership are desired.
Note that this is a product line management role and not a technical PM position – the role’s focus will be driving P&L performance and a winning roadmap, rather than day-to-day software development.
Responsibilities
Drive the market success of the product line, making strategic course corrections as needed
Collaborate with distribution channel leaders to define product line evolution
Provide leadership for a team of senior product managers
Lead the development of the long-term product roadmap for commercial products
Define clear-data-driven business cases for new products within the line
Support effective day-to-day product lifecycle management for In-market products
Define KPI’s, dashboards, and management reporting for the line; be the internal expert on all product line operational metrics
Collaborate with legal, compliance, and banking relations teams to ensure that all products are compliant; be the expert in all regulatory factors for product line success
Define clear business requirements for implementation by technical PM teams
Act as product thought leader/evangelist during enterprise sales efforts and at key industry events
Work closely with the technical product management team to launch successful product enhancements
Skills/Education/Experience
Bachelors degree in economics, finance, statistics or business; MBA preferred
10+ years product management experience, preferably as owner of a product line P&L
Demonstrated success driving the market performance of a commercial financial services/payments product
Ability to quickly assess product/market fit; identify new segments of opportunity; and otherwise lead growth initiatives
Demonstrated success presenting to client prospects and supporting key business development efforts
Commercial banking or credit experience desired
Top-tier communication skills – high level of comfort interacting with C-level leaders, both internal and external
Strong negotiation, leadership, and written and verbal communication skills, and experience working in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to travel at least 20%
