Role: Senior Devops Engineer with Dynatrace
Location – Deerfield IL
Full Time role
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics;
Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing proposals to resolve problems;
Experience with Java build pipeline (Maven, Bamboo/Jenkins, Artifactory);
Knowledge of git, and git workflows (git-flow, branching/merging, TBD, etc);
Experience in Linux Administration (RHEL);
Experience with automation/configuration management using Chef or equivalent;
Experience with cloud IaaS/PaaS and container orchestration platforms (Azure and K8S);
Experience with SQL language;
A working understanding of scripting languages (shell as a must, Python/Ruby - nice to have);
Experience with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket);
Experience with containers and build pipelines relevant to them (Docker, Packer, Jenkins pipelines to utilize them);
Experience with application servers (WildFly, WebSphere - nice to have);
Experience with monitoring tools (ELK, Dynatrace - must have);
Understanding of monitoring concepts and implementation details (Sensu, Zipkin, Dynatrace, etc - must have);
Good communication, interpersonal, intuitive skills with ability to work efficiently in both independent and team work environments.
Job Responsibilities
DevOps Engineer will join distributed team that will be supporting new web based technology stacks as part of a push to cloud and containerized environments. This role will require applicant to:
Provide release and application support for developers and QA across the IT organization;
Act in accordance with DevOps roadmap, implementing solutions related to automation of building, integrating and deployment of software to cloud, containerized and on-premise environments;
Take part in daily activities to ensure stability and operability of environments and application stack, provisioned to developers and QA;
Provide release support in accordance with release calendar;
