Our client in the Philadelphia area is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team. This is a perm role starting as a 3 month contract-to-hire with a well-known organization.

Position Description:
· Working on a brand new Greenfield business-changing project for the company (a huge initiative
· This is a new product that the company is introducing.
· Understand the business context
· Build a brand new pipeline for the code to get it into testing – build it from scratch.
· Remove the friction that prevents the code from getting in as fast as possible.
· Understand how code is built, tested, promoted.
· Actively part of creating a deployment pipeline.
· Working on a small team that is just forming now.
Required Skills:
· Equally strong background in infrastructure and software development a must
· Strong experience working with the following a must:
o Agile-based software development teams
o Terraform a must (hasn’t been out for more than 5 years)
o AWS a must
o Experience working on a software development team in an embedded model (working with product teams and development teams side by side)
o PROACTIVE personality:
§ Ask proactive questions and solve problems that you notice before being asked
§ Jump in on anything even if it is on another team
§ Look for risks & vulnerabilities, and fix them before they are an issue
· Experience writing your own code modules (not just administering it)
· Experience at a start-up is highly preferred
· Worked closely with real software development teams, at companies that actually developed and produced consumer facing software.
· Someone who only has the infrastructure background will fail to connect with the developers on this project, and someone with only a software dev background won’t have the strong infra skills we need to provide infra expertise to guide the project
Bonus Skills:
· Healthcare or pharma/clinical industry experience a bonus
