Position : Senior Database Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Duration : Full time

Need 2 onsite senior database engineers, below is the high level skill set that we are looking for. Overall, looking for a Senior Database Engineer, who has good database experience on RDBMS (OIracle 11g, Oracle 12c with new features) and noSQL/distributed databases (Cassandra/Couchbase and other noSQL stack Also, well verse with Linux systems, scripting experience to automate work and enhance efficiency.
o Experience in Oracle databases ( 11g & 12c ) :
Writing and Tuning SQLs (including complex joins, aggregate functions etc)
Reviewing Schema & Deploying DDLs
Knowledge about replication tools like Oracle Golden Gate and Oracle Streams
Oracle DB session Tracing & reading traces is a plus
o Knowledge about Distributed systems architecture
o NoSQL DB technology experience ( Cassandra, Couchbase, Mongo, Solr )
o Knowledge & Troubleshooting skills for Linux
Usage & interpretation of OS Commands like vmstat, iostat, mpstat, dstat, top etc.
o Scripting languages :
Python
Shell Script
PL/SQL
o Experience in designing scalable solutions, have good working experience for the database/cluster sizing and architecture
