Job Description:
Client is seeking a Senior Data Warehouse Modeler / Designer who can provide hands-on development and guidance for team members within a large Data Warehouse/Data Lake environment. This job would be a fast paced, collaborative work environment with high visibility and fantastic learning opportunities on Microsoft Azure Cloud and Big Data technologies.
What You Bring to the Team:
Required Skills:
5+ yrs Dimensional modeling experience (required)
4+ yrs ETL (SSIS) development (some lead responsibilities desired)
Healthcare experience required, especially claims and care management data
Strong customer relationship skills with experience interfacing with customers to refine reporting requirements and build trusted relationships
Demonstrated experience collaborating with technical and business teams to build reporting solutions
Excellent communication skills that enable a true understanding of business value and how technical solutions can solve business problems
Experience leading and guiding a team of BI developers including peer reviews, task management, development methodologies, and coordinating project deliverables
Very strong SQL/data analysis experience
Experience working with these BI tools: Power Pivot / Power View or PowerBI
Prior experience as an ETL developer with Data Warehousing or Data Management projects
Some experience focusing on data visualization, ad-hoc data access via BI Tools, and intuitive dashboard design
Ability to understand advanced concepts in data modeling and how those data models support business concepts and business metrics
Preferred Skills:
Azure SQL DW experience helpful but not needed
Experience with other BI tools such as Azure Analysis Services, Tableau, Qlikview or Cognos
Experience with Agile Methodology
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
