Job Details
Looking for Data Modeler (DM) who has expertise in leading, designing, developing, testing, maintaining, implementing, monitoring, supporting, and documenting data architecture and data modeling (normalized, dimensional, logical, and physical) solutions for Enterprise Data Warehouse and Enterprise Data Marts, with background in the Financial Services preferably in the Automobile industry.
Must have skills:
Experience with relational modeling, domain modeling, and dimensional modeling
Experience with Data mapping, data warehousing and creating Data Marts
Knowledge in DB2 and Oracle databases and SQL Performance tuning
Strong knowledge in RHEL/Unix and Shell scripts
Nice to have skills:
Knowledge in DB2 DB Administration/ IBM DB2 Certification
Experience with database security and database replication
Designing and implementing Informatica 10.1 PowerCenter mappings
Detailed Job Description
Hands on Coding experience planning, designing and documenting of Enterprise Relational and Dimensional Databases, and data models with Data Modeler tool
Sybase Power Designer or similar tools like Erwin.
Establish, Maintain and Adhere to Enterprise Data Modeling and Data Integration Standards.
Should have working knowledge in end-to-end implementation of DWH OR Data Marts OR Operational Data Stores.
Perform a variety of Data Analysis, Data Administration and DB2 administration tasks.
Has deep understanding of data architecture & data modeling best practices and guidelines for different data and analytic platforms.
Should be expert in writing and performance tuning of SQL queries.
Should be able to analyze the impact of the mapping changes and estimate the effort for end-to-end development activities.
Should understand various software development methodologies including Agile, Waterfall and Iterative.
Should have good understanding in UNIX shell scripting.
Participate in meetings with business users to understand the requirement for the purpose of creation of ETL interfaces.
Create and Document ETL/Logical Data Integration strategies for data flows between disparate Source/ Target Systems and the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
Should have worked on databases (Oracle and DB2), and different file structures (delimited, fixed width, XML files
Strong planning and organization skills, and Good communication skills is necessary.
Ability to collaborate with the team but also independently recommend and deliver solutions to complex use cases.
Will be accountable for operational support of production jobs including the maintenance and monitoring of job schedules.
Experience in designing, building, validating, maintaining and documenting ETL mappings using Informatica Powercenter 10.1.1 client tools is a PLUS.
Experience in metadata management is a PLUS
