Job Description :
Senior Data Engineering Consultant
Location: SFO
Duration: Long term
Work with a team of data engineers to help with migration of data/data models/schema from SAP HANA database to Hadoop.
Must have skills:
- 3-5 year experience in Big Data Technologies Hadoop, HDFS
- Experience in successfully implementing migration/ETL projects on SAP HANA database platform
- Experience in successfully implementing migration/ETL projects on Hadoop from multiple data sources
- Solid understanding of SAP HANA platform architecture and data modeling techniques (procedures and views), schema management, content import and export, data provisioning
- Solid understanding of Hadoop v2 stack, HDFS, MapReduce
- Strong knowledge of SQL
- Must be excellent in SPARK and Apache KAFKA and transformations both batch and real time
- Working knowledge of HIVE/Pig/Hbase/Flume
- Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles
- Administration of Hadoop cluster, SAP HANA platform
- HANA to Hadoop data pipes
Nice to have skills:
- Understanding of SAP HANA smart data access, material views, data sets
- Reporting tools such as Tableau
- Attunity and Talend
