Job Description :
Title – Senior Data Engineer
Duration – 12 MONTHS
Location – NYC, NY


Job Requirements:

Need strong exp with Big Data and need Data engineer. This isn’t DBA role.
Aerospike is good to have

8 to 10 years’ experience – with a startup stance and attitude
Must have exp building data management platforms (DMP) for adtech or martech.
Fluency with one or more NoSQL databases; ScyllaDB, MongoDB, Aerospike.
Data engineering background with experience working with programming languages like Java or C.
Understanding of distributed system scaling and advanced replication
Demonstrable experience building solutions on enterprise tools and frameworks like Kafka, Spark, Spring and Hadoop
Prior experience working for a software company as a sales engineer or similar role.

Manager thoughts on Aerospike:
We are looking for a distributed DB eng/arch but very hands on that has Aerospyke skills. The client has selected Aerospyke over Cassandra, but has its reservations that this solution will scale past alpha delivery in late Sept. That means there is a possibility of selecting another Distributed DB solution that can scale to 1500 nodes. That is why I don’t want just an Aerospyke eng.
