Position: Senior Data Analyst with Application Development Experience
Location: Sterling, VA
Client: CGI/Fannie Mae

Client is currently hiring a Senior Data Analyst with Application development experience to join our financial services team in Herndon, VA.
Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role, you will work with a Capital Markets Forecasting applications that are data-centric with a lot of emphases given to Data Loading and Transformation, analytics, reporting, and data preparation for financial forecasting. You will be involved in the overall effort to provide solutions to emerging data needs for business for these applications.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- 10+ years overall working experience in IT
- 6+ years working experience as a Data Analyst
- 3+ years working experience as an application developer using Java/J2EE
- Technical expertise should include data models, database design and data mining
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle and SQL Server preferred)
- Strong knowledge of SQL (including PL/SQL, T-SQL) and working experience in a windows and Unix environment
- Strong knowledge of and experience with working on multiple applications and establishing data interfaces
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Should have skills documenting data requirements
- should have knowledge of Batch processes (Experience with Autosys is a nice to have)
- Financial industry knowledge is a must and mortgage industry knowledge is a nice to have.
- Ability to translate ETL requirements (source to target mappings)
- Ability to document business processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask is critical,
