Senior Data Analyst
Location: Detroit, MI
Duration: 6 months
Description:
Senior Data Analyst Responsibilities:
- Intake business requirements from various customers and translate into the appropriate data-deliverable, identifying input data sources and coordinating with internal partners to obtain and combine/create datasets to be used for analysis
- Use SQL and Excel to prepare targeted data list for various member and group customer communications in support of initiatives related to member and group customer communication through marketing emails, direct mail outreach, SMS outreach, market research surveys, etc.
- Create deliverables that report out on metrics related to marketing outreach activities
- Acquire and aggregate various inputs from business partners to deliver on comprehensive reporting
- Deliver on ad hoc requests related to pulling out data summaries from SQL server into Excel / PowerPoint tables and charts for business partners
- Adherence to process and identification of opportunities for process improvements
- Communicate with business partners to intake requirements and specification for member data and reporting requirements to document and execute out on
Senior Data Analyst Required Skills / Experience:
- Understanding of how business requirements translate into need for data and how to manipulate, merge, and create datasets and analytics output with high levels of complexity
- Strong SQL skills
- Advanced Excel skills (including ability to create Macros to achieve efficiency)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to balance requests from multiple departments with varying timelines
- Ability to communicate with various business partners and gather appropriate requirements and specifications
- Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated ability to translate the analysis into meaningful and practical recommendations
- Impeccable follow through to ensure action items are completed as expected or escalations are made in a timely manner
