Job Description:
· Client is seeking a Senior Captiva Developer to join our Shared Development Services team.
· The ideal candidate will have experience with Captiva in both Windows and UNIX platforms as well as an in-depth knowledge of Databases, Network and infrastructure concepts.
· The individual will be responsible for analyzing requirements, designing and implementing end to end solutions.
· The position will also work on multiple concurrent projects and be effective in communicating status and risk. The individual will work very closely with operations to ensure the efficiency, scalability, extensibility and performance for content management and publishing platforms running on Captiva as well as all the other platforms such as Documentum, Adobe AEM, and Generis CARA.
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience 8+ years of experience in software design or application development 5+ years of experience with Captiva Capture in a large scale Enterprise setting Upgrading the Captiva system from an older version to a newer version Expert in .NET Hands-on experience working with common server operating systems such as Unix/Linux, Windows, etc. as well as web servers including IIS, Apache, Tomcat Excellent written and verbal communication skills Expert in RDBMS concepts (SQL Server preferred), software design, data structures and modeling techniques.
Optional Skills: Documentum Generis CARA Image Access ImageTrust Kofax Capture UNIX Shell Scripting Exposure to web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, CMS, DHTML, AJAX, MVC 2.0/3.0, XML, XSL, jQuery Exposure to build & consume web services Experience with Akamai a plus Participate in the software design, development, and implementation of applications using Captiva. Lead development team on small projects and willing to work alone on development modules Solve complex challenges in a directed, methodical, cost-effective, and data-driven manner and has the ability to analyze the current issue to envision creative solutions Take initiative to complete critical tasks, especially in team settings with dependencies on other people.
