Senior Business Intelligence Analyst: This position will serve as technical lead on projects to design, develop, and QA Business Intelligence (BI) applications and other analytic applications. Responsible for translating requirements into a robust set of reporting and analytic deliverables, primarily using Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) BI tool. Following prescribed project and development methodology under the direction of a Project Manager, the Sr. BI Analyst will work closely with the Lead Architect, DW/ETL Lead, BI developers, source application developers, and subject matter experts (SMEs The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will support, maintain, and enhance these environments to achieve a cross-functional, integrated reporting and analysis environment for client users.

Essential Functions:

Lead BI effort for enterprise projects:
Lead requirements analysis, including the development of conceptual data models.
Translate reporting requirements into a scope and delivery strategy for the subject area.
Be the source data expert: profile and document objects, business rules, and caveats.
Develop reporting framework and cohesive reporting deliverables using OBIEE tool.
Implement security in RPD, reports and in admin console as per the client guidelines by leveraging Oracle platform security services.

Gather access needs, design BI security, and determine user access profiles for roll out.
Design RPD and dashboards using variables, dimension hierarchies, level based metrics and aggregate tables.

Design and implement test and QA strategies and prepare for roll-out, assuring data validation and integrity.
Design production support, training materials, user website, and conduct training for roll out.
Coordinate the activities of BI analysts and developers on the project.
Liaison with users to ensure deliverables are meeting or exceeding expectations.

Document the meta-data design.

Migrate Web Catalog across different environments.

Coordinate with ETL development resources to ensure that project timelines are met and testing is complete on-time.


Support and maintain production BI applications:
Provide break-fix support and communicate outages to users as defined by IT Services standards.
Coordinate and implement BI training and help-desk activities.
Troubleshoot and tune BI applications.
Help business users leverage the appropriate BI techniques and tools.
Coordinate testing of software patches and upgrades, and communicate with users.
Monitor production applications performance closely and implement necessary tuning when & where needed.

BI Strategy and Planning:
Build partnerships with stakeholders, stewards, IT Services colleagues and BIS management to implement the client reporting strategy.
Work with BI team and Architect on best practices and standards, and coordination of user environments from different subject areas.
Be a model for BI standards, processes, and best practices for reporting throughout BIS.
Maintain deep expertise in BI best practices and emerging trends for analytic applications.
Document business needs and the technical requirements required to meet those needs with a focus on leveraging advanced functionality of BI tools.
Work with BIS leadership team to develop and implement strategy for integrating DW/BI applications to support enterprise wide data sharing and distribution.
